It's not necessary to have a fancy bolster of a certain kind. Any kind of tubular pillow will work great. You can roll up a beach towel or use a pillow even as a substitute. Keep in mind typically the more cylindrical and firm the bolster the deeper the backbend or sensation will be. A leaner, more rectangular and/or squishy bolster will give you less bending or depth and provide more support ideal for restorative and milder shapes.
